Calling Alder Hey: remote digital dictation development

MedisecTRUST Digital Dictation software is being extended at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for use by offsite clinicians.

Development is underway to enable anyone working in the community to telephone in on a landline or mobile phone and dictate letters remotely. All remote dictations will be immediately available for transcription, fully integrated with existing processes for letter creation and sign off.

“Offsite clinicians will no longer have to return to the hospital to dictate letters or to connect their dictation devices before transcription can take place,” said Tom Rothwell, Medisec Software’s Managing Director.

“The move will deliver further efficiency savings at Alder Hey.”
