Clinical delivery solution piloted by five Sefton GP practices

Five GP practices from across Sefton are currently piloting a new end-to-end delivery service for clinical correspondence from Southport to Ormskirk Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) – set up by joint venture Healthcare Gateway to deliver clinical updates electronically to all GP surgeries running EMIS and INPS systems – has been added to GP delivery options in Medisec Software’s MedisecTRUST. Southport & Ormskirk Hospital uses MedisecTRUST to manage its clinical correspondence process.

Churchtown Medical Centre, Crosby Village Surgery, The Marshside Surgery, The Hollies and Maghull Health Centre are all testing the solution, enabling electronically-signed hospital letters to be delivered directly into GP practice software systems, priot to a wider roll out.
