Medisec integrates with Healthcare Gateway

Medisec Software is adding the Medical Interoperability Gateway to the GP delivery options in its clinical correspondence product MedisecTRUST.

Medisec Software will be one of the very first suppliers to partner with Healthcare Gateway, a joint venture between EMIS and INPS designed to facilitiate the sharing of data between healthcare professionals.

MedisecTrust bridges the gap between Secondary Healthcare Trusts and the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) set up by Healthcare Gateway to deliver clinical correspondence electronically to all GP surgeries running EMIS and INPS systems. When added to the existing options for delivery to GPs, it provides a comprehensive solution for secondary care.

Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust uses MedisecTRUST to manage its clinical correspondence process and they are working with Sefton PCT, Healthcare Gateway and Medisec to pilot the process which is due to be fully operational by the end of the year.
